We honor not only the firefighters from Springfield Township but all firefighters and EMS personnel around the country, and especially those who have perished in the line of duty.

                                 A FIREFIGHTER'S PRAYER
          When I am called to duty, God wherever flames may rage, Give me the strength to save some life whatever be its age.  Help me embrace a little child before its too late.  Or save some older person from the horror of that fate.  Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout, and quickly and efficiently put the fire out.  I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me, to guard my every neighbor and to protect his property.
          And if I have to lose my life, according to our fate, please bless with your protecting hand my children and my mate.

Springfield Township Fire Chief Ray Feeney dedicates the memorial to our fallen and life time firefighters and EMS personnel.  We plan to remember the firefighters in a ceremony on a yearly basis.  Anyone interested in attending or has knowledge of someone that should be added to the list should contact the fire department.
